The box comes monthly and the prices range from $10 - $19.95 per month depending on what type of box you get and the length of time you sign up for. If you would like to try love with food you can click <a href="https://lovewithfood.com/">here</a>. Quick disclaimer, I did receive this box for free to review and blog about the service. My first impression of the box was that it was STUFFED with goodies. As soon as I opened the box stuff was literally falling out. Before opening the box I have never had any of these products.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj84sM0I7pq47tyWoXEYnEOrn1mS2KFn3pz5wwix8OkhqBsvo5ReVItyfwOGYz-CtuW7pDkqHtKCkxDSdr0ZmKjH335qadwJ7qbcQUnYjXtpHFG72hMnWWCNvp1KU7pR7iCKKwA_qORKyM/s1600/LWF-+Dang+Coconut+Chips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj84sM0I7pq47tyWoXEYnEOrn1mS2KFn3pz5wwix8OkhqBsvo5ReVItyfwOGYz-CtuW7pDkqHtKCkxDSdr0ZmKjH335qadwJ7qbcQUnYjXtpHFG72hMnWWCNvp1KU7pR7iCKKwA_qORKyM/s200/LWF-+Dang+Coconut+Chips.jpg" /></a></div>I'm not a huge coconut fan. I like the flavor but the texture just doesn't agree with me so I was hesitant to try these chips. They were not my favorite because they still had that coconut texture but they were not as bad as I was fearing. Since they are toasted it gives it a little easier texture for me to handle. The flavor was really yummy though.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1_sX-RHL1bTTbgbww1mgBrYxm256ffhw5dj7hL4ehpRI8p6HIoqfGbsA6v16Kk3jmxvxkrokahojpr9fxy86lsqi9tS-KOfmXxCM9K1pBLiJRJtP7qw3_Hiqglc0e5j4QiAeGbW48Ld0/s1600/LWF-+Gingras+Pearls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1_sX-RHL1bTTbgbww1mgBrYxm256ffhw5dj7hL4ehpRI8p6HIoqfGbsA6v16Kk3jmxvxkrokahojpr9fxy86lsqi9tS-KOfmXxCM9K1pBLiJRJtP7qw3_Hiqglc0e5j4QiAeGbW48Ld0/s200/LWF-+Gingras+Pearls.jpg" /></a></div>I have no idea how to use this product and I was too terrified to try it. I’m going to do a little more google searching and try to find a way to use these. I did notice that the “pearls” look as though they all busted in transit. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjafLgMLOkt4lrmZkdA13_5guL_ATAm1iqWzHGJyGnIDYVG-NeXS_HPgKSNKRnRSg7Gx-tRil4OXiOnMSaLtXPlfyDk-9GZD1Vfp1aPWnBlkVZVMp6YfAj7dIeImWlnRh89HHXPykVtpkU/s1600/LWF-+Kind+Fruit+and+nut+bar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjafLgMLOkt4lrmZkdA13_5guL_ATAm1iqWzHGJyGnIDYVG-NeXS_HPgKSNKRnRSg7Gx-tRil4OXiOnMSaLtXPlfyDk-9GZD1Vfp1aPWnBlkVZVMp6YfAj7dIeImWlnRh89HHXPykVtpkU/s200/LWF-+Kind+Fruit+and+nut+bar.jpg" /></a></div>This bar was awesome. My breakfast never lasts until I am able to take a lunch at work. This bar curbs the hunger and gets me thru until I can get to lunch and I was able to eat just a small salad for lunch and still feel full until dinner later that evening. I would recommend this item to friends and family. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii-GV3w9JEQOdzPTuvA_ll1bbQwO-Fo-INZBpoH_c3mvnpWNGbfRfhil36uAqdRWTwBIcT1rfkDhcZFJ6guOTH1AkGklYz12yig1agWRWcYPlfuoz1xpCNL7ZfkPUmzmxWpgqevqTbWt8/s1600/LWF-+Happy+Squeeze+Fruit+&+Veggie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii-GV3w9JEQOdzPTuvA_ll1bbQwO-Fo-INZBpoH_c3mvnpWNGbfRfhil36uAqdRWTwBIcT1rfkDhcZFJ6guOTH1AkGklYz12yig1agWRWcYPlfuoz1xpCNL7ZfkPUmzmxWpgqevqTbWt8/s200/LWF-+Happy+Squeeze+Fruit+&+Veggie.jpg" /></a></div>Here’s another item that I just couldn’t bring myself to try. I have a huge issue with texture and pureed foods just wouldn’t sit well with me. However I will be saving it for my son who just turned five months. We just now started introducing him to cereal and he’s tried one veggie. When he gets to combination items (in a few more months) I will let him give this a try. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD4pCF2El7RNyhwsVxbu8vaX-MF3JARICBeWZM-UBplxQe575ZSoUn57b1OMxSTld9kSFiAuRyZudYo2bH9xf-hN1u62WXsslxVLtVBUd5LzHaDsd-COKRwn-1355OgRPAsusYXJnuKB8/s1600/LWF-+Pizzelle+Crisps+Chocolate.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD4pCF2El7RNyhwsVxbu8vaX-MF3JARICBeWZM-UBplxQe575ZSoUn57b1OMxSTld9kSFiAuRyZudYo2bH9xf-hN1u62WXsslxVLtVBUd5LzHaDsd-COKRwn-1355OgRPAsusYXJnuKB8/s200/LWF-+Pizzelle+Crisps+Chocolate.jpg" /></a></div>These were ok. They didn’t have a lot of flavor but they weren’t terrible. If they were in my bag and I needed a little snack to get me thru dance class or a sporting event that I’m at for my children I would certainly eat these no problem. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwG35TgFipEJrZuj07_BhxhEbtlaVCrebGPnNGdlkpiR6CTuenlVK4ojyne_aUr1AHbZ7TnJJkgrvojb0b8kNeVMhAaL1XiHACmgYOwsFmsODaONoEE1LKZnxucz-JtbO8t1XynzLqp6A/s1600/LWF-+Torie+&+Howard+candy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwG35TgFipEJrZuj07_BhxhEbtlaVCrebGPnNGdlkpiR6CTuenlVK4ojyne_aUr1AHbZ7TnJJkgrvojb0b8kNeVMhAaL1XiHACmgYOwsFmsODaONoEE1LKZnxucz-JtbO8t1XynzLqp6A/s200/LWF-+Torie+&+Howard+candy.jpg" /></a></div>Hard candy is always a must for me in the winter time because of colds and coughing. I hate cough drops and will only use them when nothing else will work. I prefer to keep hard candies around to keep that scratchy throat in check. This is a good addition to my stash. They were yummy. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69hNH8zSvXRvvpzM56W9_W0mDxT9HqXiiCtSPGVPCvQVvAb5Hdgg0SLxneuIdArPRznIJHRLR5Tdsa-cdavnRQ-BZ5Fe6mbVJKW0efqOFrEdmlikezyERYpPwZtItGVwNFvDzG0VC77M/s1600/LWF-Glee+Gum+Triple+Berry.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69hNH8zSvXRvvpzM56W9_W0mDxT9HqXiiCtSPGVPCvQVvAb5Hdgg0SLxneuIdArPRznIJHRLR5Tdsa-cdavnRQ-BZ5Fe6mbVJKW0efqOFrEdmlikezyERYpPwZtItGVwNFvDzG0VC77M/s200/LWF-Glee+Gum+Triple+Berry.jpg" /></a></div>Here's the one item I shared with my family. My husband and daughter both enjoyed the gum. The flavor didn't last as long as I would have hoped but when you first started chewing it was good. <br />
<br />
Overall I thought this box was worth the $10. I'm pretty sure that's the box that I got to review. I would have to see the larger box to see if it was worth the $19.95. This box is a great way to try new types of food that you typically wouldn't pick up at the store yourself. LWF is running a deal right now. If you sign up bfore December first you get a free 2 year sub to Rachel Ray Magazine. <br />
<br />
If you try Love With Food let me know what you think. Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-60024036370899735812013-11-19T11:12:00.001-05:002013-11-19T11:12:50.957-05:00Reviews to comeI'm having a little trouble with blogger today and pictures so I wanted to let everyone know that I have a few reviews to come. <br />
<br />
First I have the November Birchbox review. There was a yummy chocolate treat in the box this month.<br />
<br />
Next, Love with Food contacted me and asked if I would like to review a box....I of course said yes and got a cute little red box stuffed full of gourmet goodies to try. I even had my daughter try some of the things. They gave me a code for my readers FESTIVE2013 it is valid until 12/1/13 for $5 off your subscription of 6 or 12 months. Currently the price for each month is $10. They are also offering a bonus 2 year subscription to Rachel Ray's magazine if you sign up for a 6 or 12 month sub before 12/1. I think this would be a excellent Christmas present to the foodie in your family or friends circle. Try love with food <a href="https://lovewithfood.com/?utm_source=adwords-SGT&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Branded-SGT&gclid=CNTLqLeZ8boCFSJqMgod4wIA4g">here</a>.<br />
<br />
I also received my first ipsy bag. I was excited to finally get off the wait list and I wasn't disappointed. Lots of new beauty products for me to try in this bag. <br />
<br />
Hopefully blogger with start acting right before the end of the day and I will be able to get my post up.<br />

It is a monthly subcription box that is mailed to you. It's filled with wonderful beauty samples. If you are anything like me this is a great introduction to new things. I'm not willing to go shell out very much for a product I know nothing about. This is a great way to try new things to find out if you think buying the full size is worth it or not. You can get a subcription for $10/month and if you sign up for an extended period (6 or 12 months subs) I believe you are offered a discount. If you'd like to try it please click <a href="https://www.birchbox.com?raf=nn7pq&utm_campaign=raf&utm_source=birchbox&utm_medium=raf_link">here<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDCvVBq4uj5Q78zExWM_rfqIi5gDOhMQEQR7PEc6jdPN26tPn0pPZEro7oFG8k2omXhx-SB6CexvA__Las5_zP4wlK5oy4l3hAGbdNer7SiGkN1FEQlHj2L45tOtZcZ1F-nDilLk6jRqQ/s1600/Oct+Bichbox+Avene.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDCvVBq4uj5Q78zExWM_rfqIi5gDOhMQEQR7PEc6jdPN26tPn0pPZEro7oFG8k2omXhx-SB6CexvA__Las5_zP4wlK5oy4l3hAGbdNer7SiGkN1FEQlHj2L45tOtZcZ1F-nDilLk6jRqQ/s320/Oct+Bichbox+Avene.jpg" /></a></div>The first product in my box was Avene Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser. Per the informational card that accomapnies the samples it is a pH-balanced wash that whisks away impurities with calming French spring water. I did like the "fresh" feel of my face after I used this product. I also liked the size of the sample. You only need a quarter sized amount so this sample should last for at least 7 uses. The full size product from Birchbox.com is $20 (the same price on amazon.com). <br />
<br />
</a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEzyLxXDAJmEsBL6YxTDrJVabSF_itHv8akMT53iknTyKpfrIetDNmjZL1bUiAndZczQ1QbMZEdeClm0Hs2PqAhRVwbuWMEEm4vOPvxstxg118zvWRAPaIbxdl8bPuYYDD-Pk2pQ6rIKc/s1600/Oct+Bichbox+DDF.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEzyLxXDAJmEsBL6YxTDrJVabSF_itHv8akMT53iknTyKpfrIetDNmjZL1bUiAndZczQ1QbMZEdeClm0Hs2PqAhRVwbuWMEEm4vOPvxstxg118zvWRAPaIbxdl8bPuYYDD-Pk2pQ6rIKc/s320/Oct+Bichbox+DDF.jpg" /></a></div>The next product is the DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer Moisturizing Serum. I haven't used this product because thankfully I don't have wrinkles yet. I may give this to my mother to see if she would like to try the product. Full size is $85 at birchbox.com (again, same price on amazon.com). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnBihyphenhyphen7ZWe8loSdOK2FjVrQ2qFbo2BxjCSSCcm4uymlWu27JGTDeFdSoZyavVBvnGZVjjXBgVYKzanJ2UmliOmjcly_6Fd477VaovOGWK0AaT71iWk43__RYNZDR16V7XvK2AMlgLPw8/s1600/Oct+Birchbox+Chapstick.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnBihyphenhyphen7ZWe8loSdOK2FjVrQ2qFbo2BxjCSSCcm4uymlWu27JGTDeFdSoZyavVBvnGZVjjXBgVYKzanJ2UmliOmjcly_6Fd477VaovOGWK0AaT71iWk43__RYNZDR16V7XvK2AMlgLPw8/s320/Oct+Birchbox+Chapstick.jpg" /></a></div>This was the birchbox find item. Chapsticks Hydrations Lock. This is an item that they "find" and believe it's awesome enough to share with all their subers. This is always in addition to the normal samples (never in place of). I LOVE this sample. I used chapstick A LOT. I'm outside in the wind and all sorts of conditions due to sports and this is one of my go to items to help soothe those dry lips. They also included a coupon for $1 off my next tube. Birchbox did not give a price but I found it on amazon for $1.49. If store prices are comparable I can get my next stick for just $.49....I love the sound of that deal. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXefjqZEJwRU1FceQDR1218J5jcYfkKn1TB7V6H0UcUgcoqm_vlidDmGlCtuAd5yJIzO98KHjmVPr6aMIyzFvf3FWR1lu7itchF-kwyBEQxdVpQsUkBRaSXYe_Z0dpBjj4d2Sox4vBF5s/s1600/Oct+Birchbox+Curly+Hair+Solutions.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXefjqZEJwRU1FceQDR1218J5jcYfkKn1TB7V6H0UcUgcoqm_vlidDmGlCtuAd5yJIzO98KHjmVPr6aMIyzFvf3FWR1lu7itchF-kwyBEQxdVpQsUkBRaSXYe_Z0dpBjj4d2Sox4vBF5s/s320/Oct+Birchbox+Curly+Hair+Solutions.jpg" /></a></div>I was happy to see this product in my box. I have naturally curly hair and I'm always looking for new things to help keep my hair in check. It tends to have a mind of it's own. Curly Hair Solutions is a good product and the price isn't that bad. At birchbox.com the price is $10 for the full size (more expensive on amazon.com). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqr5d48ksWeatqeuhQiyidnsTVVfvSAcClznoabczKcE9c6oi1HzaCRgYPDnJk4OdxLyz9zD7qXOiAp9iJjYjcwjyQXvQm6G-iaGTShrYl0grL9ktlT3-VHCX4R6IM6mvjK8sL_xWC16g/s1600/Oct+Birchbox+theBalm+Cosmetics.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqr5d48ksWeatqeuhQiyidnsTVVfvSAcClznoabczKcE9c6oi1HzaCRgYPDnJk4OdxLyz9zD7qXOiAp9iJjYjcwjyQXvQm6G-iaGTShrYl0grL9ktlT3-VHCX4R6IM6mvjK8sL_xWC16g/s320/Oct+Birchbox+theBalm+Cosmetics.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Last product in my box was this lip product. It's from theBalm Cosmetics and it's called Stainiac. My color was called Beauty Queen. I did not like the feel of this product when I put it on my lips and the apperance on my lips was more like a "kool-aid" look rather than a lip tint. For myself this was not a good product but it might work differently for others. Full size on birchbox.com is $17 (amazon.com $12.50).<br />
<br />
Overall I was not disappointed in the samples that I recieved in my October box. It introduced me to new hair, lip and facial products. These things are products that I never would have tried on my own. I also like that birchbox provides a sample that is large enough to really "test" the product. <br />
<br />
I'm a little behind with my birchbox reviews so you'll be seeing another one in the next week or so on my November box that I recieved. Lets just say the "extra" was really tastey in Novembers box. Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-11201986404805744642013-10-22T14:34:00.001-04:002013-10-22T14:34:43.877-04:00Bluum Box Review: For 4 month old boy<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie0jt9PAUKn-OxSAv3iWts3Z-W9lLbf6uPEiZNC03YZ7eQlCmwiAKvTrqFHZfO3my9L_RzD82UYRdlaVAa5BIin0tEfUvk1dGcYeUUjx8pchSGlXnpQKlauJ1GiFMMt_i7CboESQ5SzKc/s1600/4+Month-.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie0jt9PAUKn-OxSAv3iWts3Z-W9lLbf6uPEiZNC03YZ7eQlCmwiAKvTrqFHZfO3my9L_RzD82UYRdlaVAa5BIin0tEfUvk1dGcYeUUjx8pchSGlXnpQKlauJ1GiFMMt_i7CboESQ5SzKc/s200/4+Month-.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This months theme was grab and go. While I've read many reviews that claim there is no real theme to the box. The products in the box are said to never really match the theme, I thought this one did. At least, I thought, most of the products matched the theme. Let me first start by saying I was very pleased with this months box. My son will love everything in the box that was meant for him. This box, unlike last months box, was geared more toward the baby vs. the mom and I really like that. I subscribed to the box for my son afterall. <br />

First up, Brain Rules For Baby. I've seen a lot of online reviews about this book, all good. I haven't had time to sit down and read it yet but I look forward to having a little time to see what this book is all about. Bluum values the book at $15 I found it online for $12 (even cheaper if you have a kindle). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioMkm9GZyOcRwt8-O_2KUCTg4icvMapQ3McrQ8a0ARHqOq10NG9MfKW0_PUtEWAeAiQklsAb01i8zz8BTai8hjk_SqlLDIBCNba-pFDf59oQyiTsAjo6xnx8xjGIKlHqcHhdgMewShN00/s1600/4+Month-+Circle+of+Friends+Organic+Makwa+Calming+Cream.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioMkm9GZyOcRwt8-O_2KUCTg4icvMapQ3McrQ8a0ARHqOq10NG9MfKW0_PUtEWAeAiQklsAb01i8zz8BTai8hjk_SqlLDIBCNba-pFDf59oQyiTsAjo6xnx8xjGIKlHqcHhdgMewShN00/s200/4+Month-+Circle+of+Friends+Organic+Makwa+Calming+Cream.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Second, we got some organic calming cream. It's recommend for those that have sensitive skin and eczema. I'm eager to try this on my 4 year old daughter who has bad break outs of eczema on the backs of her legs. The doctors want me to use a steriod cream but I really want to avoid that if at all possible. So far we have found that aquaphor healing onitment works really well but it can get pretty expensive depending on where you buy it. This cost $13 per bluum but I found a full size traveling kit (with two additional products) for only $11 online. I hope this works because I will buy more. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCOac3QCq1avcDFs4wsEm2pmapCgZjmm1aREehiO2tZeS3jR-Evj-zLHathArq51mABgaKaARwPWTMamw4MNJ-D_v_c7oo-FUQxZG3gchYw7ln46dFUoCGYpzXG28_uqP9k1oLmCij7pQ/s1600/4+Month-+Ellas+Kitchen+Strawberries+&+Apples.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCOac3QCq1avcDFs4wsEm2pmapCgZjmm1aREehiO2tZeS3jR-Evj-zLHathArq51mABgaKaARwPWTMamw4MNJ-D_v_c7oo-FUQxZG3gchYw7ln46dFUoCGYpzXG28_uqP9k1oLmCij7pQ/s200/4+Month-+Ellas+Kitchen+Strawberries+&+Apples.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUNN0DgHLs5mXnV_xttjVTUm3KFFp_OuYMVp69enf_868vxldHT80ZeHvt2hunEFYkE5Wih2c-sHKUcFvkTrxbnA51CVcel849itSg5xA1P30KwQOlEuB8G7UEPNfVW4bTlFFhJxagwL4/s1600/4+Month-+Ellas+Kitchen+Apples+&+Bananas.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUNN0DgHLs5mXnV_xttjVTUm3KFFp_OuYMVp69enf_868vxldHT80ZeHvt2hunEFYkE5Wih2c-sHKUcFvkTrxbnA51CVcel849itSg5xA1P30KwQOlEuB8G7UEPNfVW4bTlFFhJxagwL4/s200/4+Month-+Ellas+Kitchen+Apples+&+Bananas.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Next we got a couple Ella's kitchen full size samples to try. I haven't started foods with my little guy yet (maybe in another month or so) so I can't give a good review on these products yet. I do like that they are organic as I plan to make my own food to avoid all those chemicals in processed baby food. These would be perfect when we are traveling and I can't really take my homemade items along. I have read that most of Ella's products are pretty flavorful. Bluum values these each at $1.89. I believe they are in stores near me at $1.99 and online I couldn't find them any cheaper than $2.28. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDFzI3RcrYGzvDBqkAK1ZJsESEYfrgYb0Tho44HMJCqI-bxhIlllbYTEzfHUdXnL5oX1zUk44h-j3pAehPu5BbRR-waaMI1jxuTen_VeDzh-17Bp7zjlVa1wBeYFUQMdVYTJe3U7MhO8o/s1600/4+Month-+Angel+Dear+Frog+Stick+Rattle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDFzI3RcrYGzvDBqkAK1ZJsESEYfrgYb0Tho44HMJCqI-bxhIlllbYTEzfHUdXnL5oX1zUk44h-j3pAehPu5BbRR-waaMI1jxuTen_VeDzh-17Bp7zjlVa1wBeYFUQMdVYTJe3U7MhO8o/s200/4+Month-+Angel+Dear+Frog+Stick+Rattle.jpg" /></a></div><br />
We love this product. Mommy love it because it's soft and he can't hurt himself with it. Most rattles are hard and 4 month olds can't control their hand/arm movements all the way yet so he's constantly "hitting himself". It is also really easy for him to hold and the rattle is a good rattle. you know how some tend to be really annoying and loud and others are so soft you can't really hear them....this one has a noise level that is perfect! Bluum values this at $5.00 and I couldn't find it for less the $7.00. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiPUA2yc9BLqqHNy_u_a2rA1FqPIQJabVbK9M1Ct5vL0iImKvJZoi3Vmph9HuApuYQ7OykypjZVkcCQq08WH2BqqNIiBQwBwHY-bJh7iMLfJ-e_MB808Ny9Q3-a0CtPPDfgGgaUChyphenhypheng18/s1600/4+Month-+Fiesta+Elephant+Plush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiPUA2yc9BLqqHNy_u_a2rA1FqPIQJabVbK9M1Ct5vL0iImKvJZoi3Vmph9HuApuYQ7OykypjZVkcCQq08WH2BqqNIiBQwBwHY-bJh7iMLfJ-e_MB808Ny9Q3-a0CtPPDfgGgaUChyphenhypheng18/s200/4+Month-+Fiesta+Elephant+Plush.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Here's another item we love. This elephant is really soft and the legs/arms/nose give the little one several things to grab onto. Bluum values this at $10.00 and I couldn't find this exact item anywhere online....I found something made by the same company similar size and it was valued at $15.00. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB47MkFzXwfnF01A_ayerUjDzec6_XkuiZD9WdpS_BLIVfV6eO8TlrnqPzigg3aYZOocBeHMylSFTWov_Djv7xHKLEIb8DziQ73cxs-3NRgk6mkjK0Opa6_sC8o650mvtTMVgB4FcoNAc/s1600/4+Month-+Numi+Garden+Tea+Sampler.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB47MkFzXwfnF01A_ayerUjDzec6_XkuiZD9WdpS_BLIVfV6eO8TlrnqPzigg3aYZOocBeHMylSFTWov_Djv7xHKLEIb8DziQ73cxs-3NRgk6mkjK0Opa6_sC8o650mvtTMVgB4FcoNAc/s200/4+Month-+Numi+Garden+Tea+Sampler.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This item was for me. It's Numi Organic Tea-Garden mix. I'm not a huge hot tea drinker (I prefer mine in the summer and cold) but these odd flavors have me wondering what they taste like. They sound as though they would be good to soothe a cold. That's if you don't have time for soup.I will try them and give my thoughts on them later. Bluum values this at $8.00 and I found it online for $6.19<br />
<br />
So total bluum value $54.78 compared to my online research value $55.75. So as you can see I actually valued this box higher than bluum did. I'm very impressed this month and glad that we will be getting a box next month. I really believe that I'm getting what I paid plus some with each of these boxes!<br />

I'm getting a little frustrated with that (hope it arrives soon). In the meantime one of my other boxes arrived that I decided to try. It's called Birchbox and it's $10 a month for a box of health/beauty samples. <br />
<br />
I opened the box only to be a little disappointed. I understand that $10 isn't all that expensive but I expected the "samples" to be a little larger than what they are. The sizes that they sent I could probably get from beauty counters for free. I would have to travel around and find them though. Unless of course I could get online and request a sample from the companies that make the product directly. That could also be time consuming so I'm going to give them a chance here. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc64dcsOz5u-KD0vyDtvyfjgKF5Ki5XV4Q013yjlTw0CscPXt08nfyI_WQbqSRlrz1mgiqQvEZBiTHIQBsZL2h-WaFVtlFVKfNvGadMl-txQ8VkjoZrEAiicxljW7m6g_dy5IKQcQmgSw/s1600/Sept+birch+box+-+Dr.+Lipp+Nipple+balm+for+lips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc64dcsOz5u-KD0vyDtvyfjgKF5Ki5XV4Q013yjlTw0CscPXt08nfyI_WQbqSRlrz1mgiqQvEZBiTHIQBsZL2h-WaFVtlFVKfNvGadMl-txQ8VkjoZrEAiicxljW7m6g_dy5IKQcQmgSw/s200/Sept+birch+box+-+Dr.+Lipp+Nipple+balm+for+lips.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This lip balm is nice it's called Original Nipple Balm for Lips by Dr. Lipp. It's interesting that it used to be for nursing mothers. You can also use it on cuticles and elbows. The full size product cost $14.50. My information card does't say how large the full size is but I did a search online and found that it's slightly over 1/2 an oz. Not sure if it's worth that, I will have to use the product a little longer and find a cheaper comparable product to determine if it's worth it. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhslCrvVxZ3OKsWvddIHSqu6gvoywd7Ogx1d415dA2gziuNxM-6eUWfmX9XNfpqG_yx52IyaJuimvo7TEIyHUs748Fh6L4FmPEUPzgWwbNUgn5-gUvsr3JX-Kc0QX663t7djGV_QML8ag0/s1600/Sept+birch+box+-+Keratherapy+Deep+COnditionaing+Masque.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhslCrvVxZ3OKsWvddIHSqu6gvoywd7Ogx1d415dA2gziuNxM-6eUWfmX9XNfpqG_yx52IyaJuimvo7TEIyHUs748Fh6L4FmPEUPzgWwbNUgn5-gUvsr3JX-Kc0QX663t7djGV_QML8ag0/s200/Sept+birch+box+-+Keratherapy+Deep+COnditionaing+Masque.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I'm excited to try this product the Keratherapy deep conditioning masque. The package is maybe enough to get 2 uses out. I'm not sure if that's a big enough sample to determine if it really "works" or not but I will let you all know. I have very curly and very frizzy hair and I'm in search of a product that tames all of that down. The full size is 8oz and it's $23.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1bD46fGfacbQwxPxxe_eGGuEQrWt9ydcaL4V1Z8Pxb-m172rINF2Hl7N1gp4HqqFR6vuziFcX6bS1BRwod285DY3Nlu2yDjf-5shRhployfFFrn70tX01icPXrKHCAPbPMWUb_wtvmzA/s1600/Sept+Birch+Box+-+Ruffian+Nail+Lacquer+Delirium.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1bD46fGfacbQwxPxxe_eGGuEQrWt9ydcaL4V1Z8Pxb-m172rINF2Hl7N1gp4HqqFR6vuziFcX6bS1BRwod285DY3Nlu2yDjf-5shRhployfFFrn70tX01icPXrKHCAPbPMWUb_wtvmzA/s200/Sept+Birch+Box+-+Ruffian+Nail+Lacquer+Delirium.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I was so excited to see this in my box in this color. This is the Ruffian nail lacquer in Delirium. I need to sit down and give myself a pretty manicure with this pretty polish. The full size (not sure what the full size is)cost is $10. Not unheard of for a good nail polish. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTaJe-j3Z995CBPJo5VAGuByRSmRx6pKwMpHytq4kNQqz1qnS0Mr78nsAWBwxRawXTFxy3NA4aMYOPinQEwBaRMO12PHZtIUxoe4SznY3lJmNJu9H6RidPHubmB54voZTMqSdxV0ZDpC0/s1600/Sept+Birch+Box+-+Serge+Normant+Meta+Luxe+Hair+Spray.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTaJe-j3Z995CBPJo5VAGuByRSmRx6pKwMpHytq4kNQqz1qnS0Mr78nsAWBwxRawXTFxy3NA4aMYOPinQEwBaRMO12PHZtIUxoe4SznY3lJmNJu9H6RidPHubmB54voZTMqSdxV0ZDpC0/s200/Sept+Birch+Box+-+Serge+Normant+Meta+Luxe+Hair+Spray.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This is the Serge Normant meta luxe hair spray. The full size is 7.5oz and it costs $25. Currently I spend $2-3 on an 11oz can of hair spray. I'm a cheapy person but it doesn't work well in my hair. I'm wondering, and excited to try, if a more expensive quality brand will help with my out of control hair. I did try this product and so far so good. It has tamed my locks and it's still soft to touch not "crunchy" like those other hairsprays. I still don't know about spending $25 on a can....maybe I'll have to use it for a little while and thanks to the decent size sample I should be able to use it for at least a week or two. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgkb3Ifsf8r0p8kKdeoKD1TsQRzskKdKn2winCeMUNxQnxcRPeShOMX5WIXJFDZ52-j29aOU28PtRfxZKM5jjpx4jDqHwf338CAqj9YQvfbUQw_DnrNEVaNaFmat5F6mGmJL87h0tDrmw/s1600/Sept+birch+box+-+SMART+Skin+Perfecting+Polisher.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgkb3Ifsf8r0p8kKdeoKD1TsQRzskKdKn2winCeMUNxQnxcRPeShOMX5WIXJFDZ52-j29aOU28PtRfxZKM5jjpx4jDqHwf338CAqj9YQvfbUQw_DnrNEVaNaFmat5F6mGmJL87h0tDrmw/s200/Sept+birch+box+-+SMART+Skin+Perfecting+Polisher.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I still need to try this product it's called S.M.A.R.T Skin Perfecting Polisher by Grand Central Beauty. A 1 oz (full size) container costs $38. Directions read that you only need a dime size amount. You massage that amount into clean dry skin for 30 seconds. Rinse is optional. It is supposed to exfoliate, tone, smooth and moisturize your skin all in one. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHPTYw2I83eQtz4JY4prj7i3CoaNbZqlrmQWXM9V6ucCnCbKXRWV3KRNzWZ5nNyufBr5VZG9sYgveB0OlDpbOVrDSGNgztW0RwvjC4xABr4bpfR3fBeyCYvdiG47ODv21AaELINqNbEY4/s1600/Sept+birch+Box+insert.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHPTYw2I83eQtz4JY4prj7i3CoaNbZqlrmQWXM9V6ucCnCbKXRWV3KRNzWZ5nNyufBr5VZG9sYgveB0OlDpbOVrDSGNgztW0RwvjC4xABr4bpfR3fBeyCYvdiG47ODv21AaELINqNbEY4/s200/Sept+birch+Box+insert.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This first insert has a cute little saying on the front and then it has a nice little message on the back. I might keep them and turn them into small cards or something. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmPaxORLq_xkdDc1JEK7CbqFmiX1Q-laCo6_WSK82EM0ndC9DIkeEB-5V_lz2uXn_ki3U82v7ASFAoGW3vt51rdDwg0IJjgzlN43iSlKVtur20uCn4itoU2YmBrvATZ4nUAH8j571LT20/s1600/Sept+birch+Box+insert+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmPaxORLq_xkdDc1JEK7CbqFmiX1Q-laCo6_WSK82EM0ndC9DIkeEB-5V_lz2uXn_ki3U82v7ASFAoGW3vt51rdDwg0IJjgzlN43iSlKVtur20uCn4itoU2YmBrvATZ4nUAH8j571LT20/s200/Sept+birch+Box+insert+2.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This insert has information about each of the products included in the box (on the back not pictured). The front of the card, at least this month, is a little letter from the Birchbox team. This month they "turned" 3. I do hope you found something from my review that helps you either decide to get the birchbox or to maybe buy one of the products. If you want to try birchbox click <a href="http://birch.ly/1bdF5hP">here</a>.I really do hope to be back soon with that review on the Julep box. <br />

You can purchase monthly at $24.95 or get packages (3 month, 6 month and 12 month) to reduce the cost of the box. If you would like to check them out here's a <a href="http://bluum.me/14BPiFs">link</a> to sign up. I signed up for a year and got a pretty good deal. It's going to be like getting a present every month for the first year of my son's life. As you can see from the picture above, this months theme (for my 3 month old) is smiley baby. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-EmxSjuBo6kHq68kf6OuSM4cMrus0IbOjxz6dEAI1L21PbE2eUQzU8q5ZdUCpRgeag5u0xzaLb6p_hzbkBuVk67Nr9pCVXxHeqRYVjF4qbaU0fsV1dGPU8IF2nscAObqujVdMA-X9oaA/s1600/3+Month-+Luna+Fiber+Bar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-EmxSjuBo6kHq68kf6OuSM4cMrus0IbOjxz6dEAI1L21PbE2eUQzU8q5ZdUCpRgeag5u0xzaLb6p_hzbkBuVk67Nr9pCVXxHeqRYVjF4qbaU0fsV1dGPU8IF2nscAObqujVdMA-X9oaA/s200/3+Month-+Luna+Fiber+Bar.jpg" /></a></div><br />
This was the first item in my box that I tried. Side note, there were a lot of mommy items in this box. I hope to see more baby items in my next box. This Luna bar tasted pretty good, I've never had Luna bars before, it reminds me of the nutragrain breakfast bars. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWrLMMu1Kt-JJ-n1X3XN_B2SwztH7kuFktDIxQn2BGe05rPPRPw4uLSW_oEz-tqqaoBiPxH8kxG_goJkozEjE0IdT8j7TsQ__PvEzoR_WIlt1bI33oOsWQz3njsJqfyFeLlwVdg4x-3OE/s1600/3+Month-+Luna+Protein+Bar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWrLMMu1Kt-JJ-n1X3XN_B2SwztH7kuFktDIxQn2BGe05rPPRPw4uLSW_oEz-tqqaoBiPxH8kxG_goJkozEjE0IdT8j7TsQ__PvEzoR_WIlt1bI33oOsWQz3njsJqfyFeLlwVdg4x-3OE/s200/3+Month-+Luna+Protein+Bar.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I threw this bar in my bag that I take to work every day for a quick snack in case I don't get a chance to get a "real" lunch in. I haven't had to use it yet so I can't really rate taste. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGba7FGqEn5Tv-HhIzPeolQIn0IX_r4xDGKNq6N0ttwmFDqYxiBmqB9NkB5SpMB-2I10Z-iq-wUSLMwyAdR9-m7e6E-flsq_7vZVjehoSTbWm9iGTHSlcLb6cK8ZCecofobUyqdqt7mjw/s1600/3+Month-+Oopsie+Loopsie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGba7FGqEn5Tv-HhIzPeolQIn0IX_r4xDGKNq6N0ttwmFDqYxiBmqB9NkB5SpMB-2I10Z-iq-wUSLMwyAdR9-m7e6E-flsq_7vZVjehoSTbWm9iGTHSlcLb6cK8ZCecofobUyqdqt7mjw/s200/3+Month-+Oopsie+Loopsie.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I'm not sure why these were in my box. Three months post partum and I've lost all the baby weight so my pre-pregnancy clothes fit just fine. These would have been better for that stage between your regular clothes and maternity clothes. It is a wonderful idea just not useful to me. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiruMyIGRQV7CYPH5xt5JIXP7gSsllzlsA8Sf07Wd_EkE3rfMWcswz4eteS27IWIvjUz_l7_lss48BJwC2Uio_U_8eDzSOVUtqg99ikWfKtFQWmSQs-iS9L0LWVHFustH1bXzkL9K3Sgks/s1600/3+Month-+Paper+Culture+Gift+Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiruMyIGRQV7CYPH5xt5JIXP7gSsllzlsA8Sf07Wd_EkE3rfMWcswz4eteS27IWIvjUz_l7_lss48BJwC2Uio_U_8eDzSOVUtqg99ikWfKtFQWmSQs-iS9L0LWVHFustH1bXzkL9K3Sgks/s200/3+Month-+Paper+Culture+Gift+Card.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I need to check this website out and see what they offer. I will have to review this in more depth if I decide to purchase something. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7VPyZqHUs41aWZt5pESaH9AxvX5QtT7Zo1BAm_N-YIhT3mZ2tpsYrUq4yXXyL1Gzf6Sd_PIUApX5K1E4goaf19O69M0R3c9fGgJLocQrevR-k3qafuElyyODzqo2TFXfwzI3RutiLt6E/s1600/3+Month-+Priddy+Books.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7VPyZqHUs41aWZt5pESaH9AxvX5QtT7Zo1BAm_N-YIhT3mZ2tpsYrUq4yXXyL1Gzf6Sd_PIUApX5K1E4goaf19O69M0R3c9fGgJLocQrevR-k3qafuElyyODzqo2TFXfwzI3RutiLt6E/s200/3+Month-+Priddy+Books.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I love books like this. This was probably one of my favorite items from the box. I like the durability of the think pages in these types of books. Little hands can't tear up the pages when he starts grabbing things. It's a bonus because it comes with a cd. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKwWdOkO9ByOuMou-5J4x3kga2LteqEe86ixAaAykXFYG8NXzYeyYWTMGwaD0hNFQJfHKjsj-_TpuTpqkMpQsA4tohjt3zBFX4IDIA0HyDzQKpplNVJtOt5rWNcgVsrcRrd5F_lwUUgtY/s1600/3+Month-+Weleda+Stretch+Mark+Oil.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKwWdOkO9ByOuMou-5J4x3kga2LteqEe86ixAaAykXFYG8NXzYeyYWTMGwaD0hNFQJfHKjsj-_TpuTpqkMpQsA4tohjt3zBFX4IDIA0HyDzQKpplNVJtOt5rWNcgVsrcRrd5F_lwUUgtY/s200/3+Month-+Weleda+Stretch+Mark+Oil.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Anoter mommy item. I've started using this oil on the few stretch marks that I got during pregnancy. I will have to give it some time to work, if it's going to. I will do another review in a few months to let everyone know how it works. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT3Yb_-czo0FeIE8KgWhvoUy8YNRr4TZCWMda6zaaXpVjW238nyu-Lc1sPQ_56FAl3G59Q4nBgpF93CZGbt2aQn7PgsliJut4Bh7Y_gJwswfkFuaNkEUABJjm1ycku5F3KvuXStozBn34/s1600/Dapple+Dish+Liquid-+3+month.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT3Yb_-czo0FeIE8KgWhvoUy8YNRr4TZCWMda6zaaXpVjW238nyu-Lc1sPQ_56FAl3G59Q4nBgpF93CZGbt2aQn7PgsliJut4Bh7Y_gJwswfkFuaNkEUABJjm1ycku5F3KvuXStozBn34/s200/Dapple+Dish+Liquid-+3+month.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I would consider this a mommy item as well. I used this to just test on a bottle and it seemed to work like any other dish liquid. I do like the smell though. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEganFsByWuS_-PR-4tohlM7-_cFBrO69oc2IFGfC_MVeLU1twKbVFtk1aTpgLRUToqEPbJUlw2cShejo0AkQlgWWyHVlmTwkZNFSDyECXsI6b3Ycj6FhYRfI3mu6NLGpULplr7Y5RdzyV4/s1600/Disney+Body+Suite-+3+Month.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEganFsByWuS_-PR-4tohlM7-_cFBrO69oc2IFGfC_MVeLU1twKbVFtk1aTpgLRUToqEPbJUlw2cShejo0AkQlgWWyHVlmTwkZNFSDyECXsI6b3Ycj6FhYRfI3mu6NLGpULplr7Y5RdzyV4/s200/Disney+Body+Suite-+3+Month.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Finally another baby item. Even though it's plain I really like this item. It's really soft and I see myself adding an iron on or something to dress it up a little for my boy. <br />
<br />
I'm happy with the first box but I hope to see more baby items in the next box. I do believe it was worth what I paid for the box. I look fwd. to reviewing more boxes later. My next review will be on Julep. <br />

I will get to all of that soon but first I want to let you know that the direction of my blog is going to change. I still love making things and I will still post about making those things (when I get the time again) but I want to change the focus to my opinions of everything. By that I mean I will be doing lots of reviews. When I'm in search of a new vacation sport, product or even a new resturant I go to the interenet in search of what other people think about the particular item/place I'm interested in. Those reviews really do help me make a decision and I hope to be helpful to other people. <br />
<br />
Now onto why I've been MIA for a LONNNNGGGGG time. I had a baby!!!! The pregnancy was unlike the other two that I had been thru, they were a breeze. There were some complications with this pregnancy/baby but in the end I had a healthy baby boy. He was born on June 14th. I took the max amount of time off work to spend with all three of my children...12 weeks! I just recently came back to work and life is starting to fall back into it's normal pace. So needless to say I was an emotional wreck during my nine months....actually only 7 of those were emotional all the "stuff" doesn't usually kick in until around 6-8 weeks.<br />
<br />
I made a few things during my pregnancy for the new baby that I absolutely adore. Sewing has become one of my favorite things to do (when I have time of course). <br />
<br />
This is a puff quilt that I made:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69qMrsWsqGwviAzRk0z3bnR-wgwf_qm33azthiMVGIqjB-18yuvnajQfPPQrim8DxyYnkclZWSyJHRl6ASE0h63JQ6Y1PZ_Bnhe0OqQHLxOhcvJQ2pEcxDJkO9DwUWTeuuOaKS8rNPYQ/s1600/Puff+quilt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69qMrsWsqGwviAzRk0z3bnR-wgwf_qm33azthiMVGIqjB-18yuvnajQfPPQrim8DxyYnkclZWSyJHRl6ASE0h63JQ6Y1PZ_Bnhe0OqQHLxOhcvJQ2pEcxDJkO9DwUWTeuuOaKS8rNPYQ/s320/Puff+quilt.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I also made a boppy cover but blogger is being complicated right now and will not let me post anymore photos. I will try to edit later and add it. <br />
<br />
I didn't know the gender of the baby while I was pregnant. That was the most exciting thing that I have ever done my life. I can't explain the thrill of finding out at birth. I will highly recommend this to anyone asks (I found out with my first two and decided to wait with the third). <br />
<br />
Speaking of babies and all things baby I will have a post soon on Bluum box. I hadn't heard of it before. I went to open a box of pampers for my new baby and a little insert fell out with a 50% off your first box. I was curious so I went to the internet to search for reviews. It's a mix, some people love it and some people hate it. <br />
<br />
I'm taking a chance...I signed up for a year. Now I know those haters out there are going to say I'm crazy but I feel like to really give products/companies a chance I need to give them (in this case) more than just a couple of boxes to prove themselves to me. Besides it should be completely worth it, I got a pretty good deal for doing a year (almost 4 boxes free). The normal fee is $24.95 (or something like that) per month if you sign up for more than a month (3,6 or 12) they discount it. <br />
<br />
My first box arrived today, I can't wait to get the chance to bust it open later tonight and tell you all about it. <br />
<br />
That's all I have for right now, next up bluum box review. <br />
<br />

Some think I'm crazy when I count down because they say it's still so far away but I've been counting down since I booked it (more than a year ago). <br />

Is it even possible that I might be more excited than my children? Of course it is!!! I love vacation, I love spending time with my family and I love seafood! I get all three in this vacation. If you've never been on a cruise before I highly recommend them. I know the seas aren't for everyone but you hardly notice you are in the middle of the ocean. </div>

I grabbed this picture off the internet from the looks of it I believe it's Cast Away Cay. This island is Disney's private little island. It could be called Hevan on earth. I love this place and wish disney would let the boat stay a little longer than they usually do. I can't wait to have a little time on the beach and a little lunch at cookies (disney's on shore eating option). Yummy! </div>

The boat looks so pretty and very empty in this shot. It's probably a computer generated image before the boat was even put together. Looks awesome though! Going to try out the aquaduck with my son (hopefully my daughter grows a couple inches so she can ride too). </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-75138855900564016682012-03-07T13:03:00.000-05:002012-03-07T13:03:27.386-05:00Baby word album for a new friendHello everyone, I hope all is going well. I have a new project to share with you today. I finished my first handmade "chipboard" word album. I made it for a swap for a nice new friend. She has a new grandbaby that came into this world in December 2011. I wanted to make something special for this little guy. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSdj2jSnCo2QJVhYMNVhnYKTJcbWjRcoazSpOFqSNazpmIVxuPsOKDn4C5GAKwcsY6rallOZgfdQxaYHAga43zta4OM8GY1gdlXG3aTmKCm2zCOXTRlHsP6KjTPVUp2mnfn0cyyUFROTs/s1600/Baby+word+album+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSdj2jSnCo2QJVhYMNVhnYKTJcbWjRcoazSpOFqSNazpmIVxuPsOKDn4C5GAKwcsY6rallOZgfdQxaYHAga43zta4OM8GY1gdlXG3aTmKCm2zCOXTRlHsP6KjTPVUp2mnfn0cyyUFROTs/s320/Baby+word+album+1.jpg" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div> This is the front of the album I used my cricut and gypsy to make the base of eash page. Welding a letter to a rectangle to create the page. The stamp next to the 'B' says Cherish the Day, it's from close to my heart. I love that stamp set. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPKXRtI-z8XN9FoLSvsaGAVeZCONYCbWfrmo_-D3azUPxIztq4nAZKLy6ZrgCb5Nho2-uykWQn0MgJAi2Vu_kPi-vV6i6GrqYCCbf-uBnuBhLXN8SdU-8FtJQdXu8tQUn1Qb-sMmXv3iQ/s1600/Baby+word+album+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPKXRtI-z8XN9FoLSvsaGAVeZCONYCbWfrmo_-D3azUPxIztq4nAZKLy6ZrgCb5Nho2-uykWQn0MgJAi2Vu_kPi-vV6i6GrqYCCbf-uBnuBhLXN8SdU-8FtJQdXu8tQUn1Qb-sMmXv3iQ/s320/Baby+word+album+2.jpg" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div> This photo is of the inside of the first 'B' and the front of the 'A' (which I thought was cute as a bottle). The little baby pin was actually a brad but I took of the clasp portions of it and use it as an embelishment. What do you think? Does it look ok?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY-3bIdzq7zvla4GLgxEhd11y-gci27nVKezpa8yYDX15A4s7voBOkIEbo6MXwNIXkeDcmRzBbrfvMSRDoDSZU9Pff-Dm4w4QLRI3PrDmjA8C1dGrCId65lGFPvKyHcqilP2UNzOoGB2s/s1600/Baby+word+album+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY-3bIdzq7zvla4GLgxEhd11y-gci27nVKezpa8yYDX15A4s7voBOkIEbo6MXwNIXkeDcmRzBbrfvMSRDoDSZU9Pff-Dm4w4QLRI3PrDmjA8C1dGrCId65lGFPvKyHcqilP2UNzOoGB2s/s320/Baby+word+album+3.jpg" width="320" yda="true" /></a></div> This picture is the back of the 'A' and the front of the second 'B'. I love this train paper, it goes perfectly for a boy, doesn't it? All the paper used on this album was from DCWV. The patterned baby was from their Nana's kids stack and the solids from one of their solids stack. I'm obsessed with their paper, I wish I had the means (and space) to have all their stacks. <br />

The effect looks great when you have it in your hands).<br />

On the last two pages there is plenty room for at least 8 small pictures. I hope she finds/has the perfect pictures to put in the album. <br />

I raced home yesterday to make my husbands card yesterday. I knew he would be out for a while, our son had baseball practice, so I should have plenty of time to juggle cooking for my daughter and getting the card finished before he got home. I did a little pre-planning while on my lunch at work yesterday. I research beautiful cards made by very talented people...but I had to keep in mind the supplies that I already had waiting for me at home (didn't have time to shop for new supplies). <br />
I found this awesome sometime last week and while doing my "research" yesterday I remembered the card and how much I liked it. I like everything that this woman creates. It's Faith Abigail Designs and her website is <a href="http://www.faithabigaildesigns.com/">www.faithabigaildesigns.com</a>. The specific post that I'm speaking of, that gave me the inspiration for my card can be found <a href="http://www.faithabigaildesigns.com/2012/01/cards-for-kids-valentines-day-blog-hop.html">here</a> . Please don't limit looking at just that post though, please check out the rest of her creations, she has amazing talent. <br />
<br />
Now that you know where my inspiration came from it is time to show you my interpretation of Miss Faith Abigail's card. Sorry for the quality of the pictures..I took them with my phone because I did not have time to look for my good camera before my husband got home.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBsWDkhefYl9nTq3NfXsTy7vvPjHP-OeGcRZIwwE39FvO3crG_IwkZ2o-F-b0yR2r9UNEVydoaGUnoAh4YxssfegrE1rMJ-V9yUipH2E5dZTn0f4DBm_NfgDAvWSV4NVoRgAytbyXJ4rA/s1600/2012+Vday+card+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBsWDkhefYl9nTq3NfXsTy7vvPjHP-OeGcRZIwwE39FvO3crG_IwkZ2o-F-b0yR2r9UNEVydoaGUnoAh4YxssfegrE1rMJ-V9yUipH2E5dZTn0f4DBm_NfgDAvWSV4NVoRgAytbyXJ4rA/s320/2012+Vday+card+1.jpg" width="239" yda="true" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"> This is the front of the card. I used a black base and layered it with a pink patterned paper that had words like love and together on it. I then took a piece of plain pale pink paper and used my trimmer (it came with different blades) to give it a scalloped edge. I layered it with a stripped pink/red/white paper. Before I put that piece on the card I wrapped a little twine around it. My favorite part of the card is the envelopes with the ticket and heart inside. I created the envelopes from Wild Card cartridge, the heart is from Jolee's stickers and the ticket is created Art Philosophy cartridge and the 2011 November stamp of the month from close to my heard (I love that stamp set it's called Cherish the day). </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_ZwwaR7znp4wPsJf-dU45QHb4bpF3s3AF6IRfknoX-2iu-meERGfTY0cJQtrum2fWjSrcb9b4vm3FgI9NeMI9HvWbB3-tv0Dvmv3b_Dn2EOAzWSfceDqYmc93WwkR5a0RvpU8UE24b3M/s1600/2012+Vday+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_ZwwaR7znp4wPsJf-dU45QHb4bpF3s3AF6IRfknoX-2iu-meERGfTY0cJQtrum2fWjSrcb9b4vm3FgI9NeMI9HvWbB3-tv0Dvmv3b_Dn2EOAzWSfceDqYmc93WwkR5a0RvpU8UE24b3M/s1600/2012+Vday+card.jpg" yda="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">In this picture you can see the detail of the larger tag. I used chipboard glittery stickers for the I and the U and the heart is actually one of my daughters stickers, it came in one of the foam sticker packs (she likes putting them all over my house by the way). I used the Cherish the day stamp again only inking the portion for the "FEB" to stamp on the end of the ticket. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

You can't see it in the picture but I had typed up a nice poem I found on the Internet <a href="http://www.poemsource.com/valentine-poems.html">here</a>. It's a poem called Year Round Valentine by Joanna Fuchs. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">Thank you for stopping by and I hope to be back with more creations at the end of the week. </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-29702955196269840372012-01-26T09:47:00.000-05:002012-01-26T09:47:21.121-05:00New Year...New you...I mean me.So....I have been really busy with all the holidays and my daughters birthday. I plan to post more often this year. It's one of my goals on the journey of creating a new me. I want to do more of what I enjoy and I'm going to make craftin' at least a weekly thing and not let other things ruin something I enjoy so much. Things like laundry or dishes....ok, that makes me sound dirty (I promise I'm not) but I worry about letting a few dishes sit in the sink or a load of laundry sitting for more than a day. I'm going to stop sweating the small stuff so I can enjoy life a little more. <br />
<br />
Speaking of small stuff...(as I laugh a worried laugh) my work started this new wellness program and if you participate you get a discount on your health insurance premium. Awesome...I thought....until I started filling out all the paperwork to participate. Now I'm freaked out. I know I'm not the thinnest thing and I would love to lose about 20 pounds to feel a little more comfortable in my own skin. I don't think I'm that overweight, I've always been the "bigger" girl in the bunch but I chalked that up to playing soccer (what seemed like) 24/7 for 13 years. I had muscular legs and a solid upper body. I wasn't freakishly muscular but I was built for sports. Any who...after filling in height and weight the stupid thing said I need to lose 50#....really??? I'm that overweight? I ask myself these questions as I try to picture myself 50# lighter. <br />
<br />
That's just the tip of the iceberg, I then start to think about the upcoming blood test that will determine any other health issues I might have. If I'm 50# overweight, I think, there has to be more wrong with me. My lab test/blood draw is this Saturday. I should find out what else is wrong with me in the next 5-7 days after the test. On the brighter side of things....it's a step towards the new me. I'm going to do it. I may not feel like I need to lose all 50# but who knows...it couldn't hurt to try, right? <br />
<br />
Sorry for boring all of you with my personal life details but I had to get it off my chest. I need to stop being negative and start looking at the positive with this wellness thing.Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-65406973209832692342011-12-05T10:06:00.000-05:002011-12-05T10:06:19.112-05:00My first tag and charm comboI just started getting into making the dangle charms. They have become somewhat of an addiction for me. I love making them. I have never made the tag/card that a lot of other crafters make to go along with the charm. This is my first attempt at the tag process and I have to say that I like the way it turned out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY6ciyB9Vo6gX4G0ORDZsZ22FDDdSA3pgeIm8aI1em0BR83G3pk_G3gsX-ODdG19myC5b_T5IlYCyPFYpmIj49t-ljORCkLCAztKKX-Ukdn7yoMZzc4xIWhgNIQue_x7Gu5FCC_9cZhGo/s1600/Plain+Tag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" dda="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY6ciyB9Vo6gX4G0ORDZsZ22FDDdSA3pgeIm8aI1em0BR83G3pk_G3gsX-ODdG19myC5b_T5IlYCyPFYpmIj49t-ljORCkLCAztKKX-Ukdn7yoMZzc4xIWhgNIQue_x7Gu5FCC_9cZhGo/s320/Plain+Tag.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>I started with a plain large tag in an off white color. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgSko5-nXoGNP5xwXProBV3D1n2dqpdTIJbIwOrhkhvTw8_HhJUJpA7D9JRt0OYSskL_rBOKjPcPrxRr18IgNhzVRjcLHb4hvDNPezHT9eaf-g13bHO6nKNuZ_tnf3IfrdxwhaFypvjzM/s1600/Tag+with+color+and+image.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" dda="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgSko5-nXoGNP5xwXProBV3D1n2dqpdTIJbIwOrhkhvTw8_HhJUJpA7D9JRt0OYSskL_rBOKjPcPrxRr18IgNhzVRjcLHb4hvDNPezHT9eaf-g13bHO6nKNuZ_tnf3IfrdxwhaFypvjzM/s320/Tag+with+color+and+image.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I then inked the tag with 3 different Tim Holtz distress inks. After I had inked to my liking I stamped with some flourishes, a fairy and the word Magic...all of these stamps were Michael's brand recollection stamps from different sets. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5r9_iUth41DF9469-M2cluoq-qKPu8xNjJChJRcjU4W5lDohIqeTvAOPYNUf7UlSHaNqjURPDJzYqUOC-FzAFqGeC_D9x8v3aFSU65hwLvLvB8WSkCCBQ7_lcqjscCxTQWff1yaWKVRc/s1600/Tag+after+glimmer+mist+added.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" dda="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5r9_iUth41DF9469-M2cluoq-qKPu8xNjJChJRcjU4W5lDohIqeTvAOPYNUf7UlSHaNqjURPDJzYqUOC-FzAFqGeC_D9x8v3aFSU65hwLvLvB8WSkCCBQ7_lcqjscCxTQWff1yaWKVRc/s320/Tag+after+glimmer+mist+added.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I then sprayed the tag with glimmer mist. as you can see it made the stamp images "run" a little. So maybe next time I will spray with the glimmer mist before I stamp with an image. I must admit though, I like the "run" effect that it made on this tag. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgls7CHCE78pkWWUmKWhu1_vKHprjYKCuPK5gsMArwmMgFIdDA-yUOneJoOZhCdKvUJSWZ5rbqkU0duQ2iteoiSbPOFQLFhPHnY9ugokmq5iYNtdbwFWLenLyZNRkoPGw_EqElQ_qElQcA/s1600/Tag+with+charm+and+ribbon+added.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" dda="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgls7CHCE78pkWWUmKWhu1_vKHprjYKCuPK5gsMArwmMgFIdDA-yUOneJoOZhCdKvUJSWZ5rbqkU0duQ2iteoiSbPOFQLFhPHnY9ugokmq5iYNtdbwFWLenLyZNRkoPGw_EqElQ_qElQcA/s320/Tag+with+charm+and+ribbon+added.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I added my charm to the tag with some strands of ribbon and you have the finished product! I hope you enjoyed looking at my project today. I hope to be back real soon with some more projects to share with you. </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-75347030364713769642011-10-31T11:50:00.000-04:002011-10-31T11:50:05.801-04:00Altering those mini comp books...just the right size to put in your purse!I recently participated in a color combo swap on the cricut message boards. The ladies there are just wonderful and so fun to swap with. I had Rhonda (Heart2Hand on the message boards) as a partner. The colors for October were Chocolate brown and blue. The rules are to purchase at least $20 worth of scrappin' items for your partner and then there is a twist to the rules. The twist this month was to make an item for your partner. I decided to make two items....the box I posted about a while back and this book.<br />
<br />
I covered the book with a single sheet (trimmed down to size) of blue and white paper. The paper kind of had a distressed look already. After I attached it I ink the edges in brown and heavly inked the binding of the book (forgot to take a picture of the binding). The front was stamped with a decorative edge for the top and bottom and lined. I cut the R from Happy Hauntings cartridge (I love that cartridge). I added a Tim Holtz Button to create a "knob" that the thread tie could wrap around to hold the book shut. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSWY9V2HlNrlZ6pZn9lW06HUPFxw7PWmHC_ima6-w3UtjX8xXiHsCx-4jl1oHN5VpxtFUkIWxvonpGJUbKyZfpYCFDrfvIoTwAuStp7CoOnGVxP6aMsE0IHxGTKjh_HKcw4Cm4mRoc0QQ/s1600/Mini+Comp+front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ida="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSWY9V2HlNrlZ6pZn9lW06HUPFxw7PWmHC_ima6-w3UtjX8xXiHsCx-4jl1oHN5VpxtFUkIWxvonpGJUbKyZfpYCFDrfvIoTwAuStp7CoOnGVxP6aMsE0IHxGTKjh_HKcw4Cm4mRoc0QQ/s320/Mini+Comp+front.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The inside covers were done the same way the outside was. Covered with blue and white paper then inked with brown. The back inside cover I stamped with my personalized stamp (from Paperangel.com)...I love it!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQIULMHUk-E9ZINAT03UBAxGjblcEf5zV-vMW7G_D4G7trEe-JZb0SWQmz9cT63Fag7DwpRpOi2_DdtSBniYWoIsp7qOapH1IuFIjjHMCwr537QNAdc4ZFQ0iTiSfYaGBXvArUeiQtmfQ/s1600/Mini+comp+inside+back+cover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" ida="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQIULMHUk-E9ZINAT03UBAxGjblcEf5zV-vMW7G_D4G7trEe-JZb0SWQmz9cT63Fag7DwpRpOi2_DdtSBniYWoIsp7qOapH1IuFIjjHMCwr537QNAdc4ZFQ0iTiSfYaGBXvArUeiQtmfQ/s320/Mini+comp+inside+back+cover.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The back cover was kept simple to...didn't want to add to much bulk to the book because I wanted it to be able to fit in her purse and write on it with no issues. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

All of my cartridges are in a cgull tote. So it was time to do something with those boxes...I needed to downsize and create space for other things. One by one I think I'm going to alter them and send them as gifts to people. The lucky person that gets one can store whatever they wish in them. I have found they are good for small embellies, pens and/or markers, flowers....kids can use them for their stuff as well....my son needs one for his money. Here are a few that I have done already: </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

The lady I was creating for (Sherrie..nice gal) wanted a planner. No problem I've made my own planners before...but I wanted to do something different. Something she wasn't just going to toss at the end of the year which happens to a lot of planners. I wanted to create a dual purpose planner. A planner to start turned scrapbook when the year is over. Below is the cover of the planner. I'm not the greatest when it comes to making vintage looking items but the cover looks good. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisXn5M7nIPDGqGaamkHxfBd78kZqv1znL5qE9D1XnmfwBXFJ31tIcHq45Xhx2c-x0MiRu-gICD2iqJEz2PHef4SHIGxhMKdS2dThEazPhYvOwY2TrLULylDAb1LEGV2QZH6bbqRlGVEzE/s1600/journal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" oda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisXn5M7nIPDGqGaamkHxfBd78kZqv1znL5qE9D1XnmfwBXFJ31tIcHq45Xhx2c-x0MiRu-gICD2iqJEz2PHef4SHIGxhMKdS2dThEazPhYvOwY2TrLULylDAb1LEGV2QZH6bbqRlGVEzE/s320/journal.jpg" width="239px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Each month had a tab divider. On each divider page I created a little layout. Sherrie can add pictures as she goes. I did a page for each month leaving the tabs for November and December open for her to design. Below are a few of the pages that I designed in the book </div><br />

I'm trying my hand at the handmade flowers. I bought the art philosophy cricut cartridge (exclusive to CTMH) but before I tried those flowers I wanted to give it a go with just layering the petals you can get on a number of cartridges. I have to give credit where credit is due. While trying to figure out how I was going to do this handmade flower stuff I "googled" handmade paper flowers and came across a wonderful blog. Simply paper is ran by an amazing woman who is also very kind in sharing her "how to" tutorials. She has many tutorials showing how to make many different types of flowers. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This is my attempt at what she calls a sweet rose. It's not as good as hers but I think for a first try they turned out nice. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQQaZnqrAcapRHS4MUe4rvEKNDkOiFd-vdCaXr2olMYuYE1cqQltV-emXEVNeY17iPeGxBgCpAKljUfv_og9Vgcbs8Ywd1uL7tGGHbayd2tqxHyHwEIvcVWUbqVHN21Aut9lzYPsnF95c/s1600/first+flower.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" qaa="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQQaZnqrAcapRHS4MUe4rvEKNDkOiFd-vdCaXr2olMYuYE1cqQltV-emXEVNeY17iPeGxBgCpAKljUfv_og9Vgcbs8Ywd1uL7tGGHbayd2tqxHyHwEIvcVWUbqVHN21Aut9lzYPsnF95c/s1600/first+flower.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

It's about the same wonderful gal from the same wonderful cricut message boards. That's the great thing about the message boards. You meet new people and build friendships that could last a long time. <br />
<br />
In the swap that I'm in the leader (awesome lady Heart2Hand) gives us 20 days worth of words (a different word/phrase for each day). One of the days stated that we had to make a handmade centerstep card. Now I'm not a card "maker" by any means but I do admit it as caught my eye. I like learning new things and I LOVE all things handmade. So, needless to say I'm a scrapper with a card making ability now...lol. <br />
<br />
For my first centerstep card ever I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself. Now I recycled the stamp image that is in the center of the card. I'm all about re-using when I can to do my part to help keep the world we live in as clean. I'm trying to do my part to "be green"! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKUrqOtHHDMIcimeaJtQ8T1jQXJIHzdcPukj3kntq_9au5Ie8FnOYyHzlXtGgW95CVOb4_cQzLa_4HBdGpZVT5hr4yWXrT5w9qQNrhCDWT1XeNSS9rHhYZRpKBCnNecXHGhP8IoG0hqUM/s1600/STSB+card+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKUrqOtHHDMIcimeaJtQ8T1jQXJIHzdcPukj3kntq_9au5Ie8FnOYyHzlXtGgW95CVOb4_cQzLa_4HBdGpZVT5hr4yWXrT5w9qQNrhCDWT1XeNSS9rHhYZRpKBCnNecXHGhP8IoG0hqUM/s320/STSB+card+1.jpg" t$="true" width="239px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I apologize for the terrible glare....my camera was not working with me. My partner is again...very found of brown but she did mention that she like the combo of brown and silver together. I had plain white flowers that I inked with a little brown and put a white brad in the center of each flower. I look at it now and think that it's too simple but I didn't want to add too much and make it look strange with all the elements. I hope my partner (CricutJunky) likes her card. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-pCQx-ln-h4lq3FDyEW4-gjNXQvs8hOc5cjzvvLUmIIrcEwIQMzSA6doIRP_w1fwhNzHekoU0J4RHN1P4hBGzF8D2AoAHf3faP8ByAZnNYpwhjKN3Yu7C-t9z3LW5GSOwjsuDPEwAiwA/s1600/STSB+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-pCQx-ln-h4lq3FDyEW4-gjNXQvs8hOc5cjzvvLUmIIrcEwIQMzSA6doIRP_w1fwhNzHekoU0J4RHN1P4hBGzF8D2AoAHf3faP8ByAZnNYpwhjKN3Yu7C-t9z3LW5GSOwjsuDPEwAiwA/s1600/STSB+card.jpg" t$="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The side view is really terrible...the glare is just awful. I just posted it to show the details of the "centerstep" design. I like this design and plan to start making my own cards instead of buying them. I'll work on my method...polish up my designing techniques and I should have really good cards to show (eventually). Well...I hope you enjoyed the post today and I hope to be back soon with more posts. </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-21535027823853537932011-08-02T11:23:00.000-04:002011-08-02T11:23:35.232-04:00A shoebox re-designedI'm currently in a swap on the cricut.com message boards. I'm telling you, I'm so addicted to those things. They are so much fun and a great way to get to know someone. My partner (message board name CricutJunky) is an awesome lady. She loves brown and she is just starting out in the scrapbooking world so she was so easy to put together a box for. I like the freedom of being able to help build their "tool" stock but I'm nervous because I tend to send things that I like using versus what they might like to use. She states she will be happy with anything and she did give me direction on some things she believes she will like to try....hope I followed her directions well enough. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-GRgueId1_NRESycRSCDnxFcRnH3Al4ilUU_7II6TTuxxtKiSaQwD5NJ8Uo3vJ0JRbQXFmdcyJnRDTrQVgIG6n0FJHu0Cvr6YBlmVbKXlY03Uk4cuoJbd3yWumR6JeEdnFhMY0hpCwWo/s1600/STSB+box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-GRgueId1_NRESycRSCDnxFcRnH3Al4ilUU_7II6TTuxxtKiSaQwD5NJ8Uo3vJ0JRbQXFmdcyJnRDTrQVgIG6n0FJHu0Cvr6YBlmVbKXlY03Uk4cuoJbd3yWumR6JeEdnFhMY0hpCwWo/s320/STSB+box.jpg" t$="true" width="239px" /></a></div><br />
Anywho....here is the "shoebox" that I re-designed for her. She loves the color brown and likes most of the other colors (only exception would be black...she doesn't like black). I stayed away from black and kept the base (the major color in the project) brown. I hope she doesn't peek at my blog before she gets her package (she is supposed to get it this Friday). The pictures aren't the greatest...and you can't really see the detail of the item that I used (I can't mention what it is in case she does look at my blog...don't want to give her gifts away too much). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsWZ2CdwpJWF-jlWS_c0_cN9c7QvFv0VpNHy7Q1wlh0ag7A4RtREgZp-CVbsdFDb9JBhcJx_sWy7aTdhK7KOjMnpWrxn9GuZU4K6h_RNtHm5kEmMsnF3kx8Aor5TztNA2eb9pPmyJW_GA/s1600/STSB+box+lid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsWZ2CdwpJWF-jlWS_c0_cN9c7QvFv0VpNHy7Q1wlh0ag7A4RtREgZp-CVbsdFDb9JBhcJx_sWy7aTdhK7KOjMnpWrxn9GuZU4K6h_RNtHm5kEmMsnF3kx8Aor5TztNA2eb9pPmyJW_GA/s320/STSB+box+lid.jpg" t$="true" width="239px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This is the lid...the tag like option in the (your) bottom left hand corner I left open so she could write in whatever it is that she was going to store in the box. I love labeling things so I know where I put stuff so I wanted to giver her that option as well. I'll be back tomorrow to show the card that I made for her. Thanks for stopping by. </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-29174632677308867252011-07-22T15:39:00.000-04:002011-07-22T15:39:35.883-04:00Vacation, Vacation, Vacation....it has come and gone.Until next year.....ok...so I might have some mini vacations between now and then but now (what I like to call) real vacations for more than a year from now....sad face.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The above picture is my grandma....she is my world. I'm so happy that she is still able to travel with us and make it to these wonderful family vacation destinations. She is more able than most younger people I know. </div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This was our home away from home. All in all I was pleased with the home. Just a few complaints. Wish there was a screened in portion of the porch...the bugs were bad at night. The AC didn't seem to be working right and when I called the owners that acted as if it was no big deal (set on 72 and it never got below 79 during the day...not right...right?). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I know this isn't that crafty...but I promise...I will be back soon with a card to share that I'm making for my shoebox sister on the cricut message boards. </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-29096115623532255272011-06-27T13:55:00.000-04:002011-06-27T13:55:57.474-04:00Sister's Shower was a hit<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj67l7RvahwGb1Kkb6OGClMhgCBTuGdcD6LdY5p9nLRltTJYRRtoJD_S_fySCEbsNzR-wMlf1ZEJt9W4OytQoRjqZi5S0vbhDRfUlqHG3PylO20d6YiGLqN01BNhB8w6nEXlg0Mu1ErJiE/s1600/cupcakes+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj67l7RvahwGb1Kkb6OGClMhgCBTuGdcD6LdY5p9nLRltTJYRRtoJD_S_fySCEbsNzR-wMlf1ZEJt9W4OytQoRjqZi5S0vbhDRfUlqHG3PylO20d6YiGLqN01BNhB8w6nEXlg0Mu1ErJiE/s320/cupcakes+2.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">These babies were a huge hit. I always try to do things last minute so I ran out of time to make wrappers for every cupcake but I think it looks nice with just the cupcakes on the stand done with the wrappers and the table cupcakes in just plain wrappers. What do you think?</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMQnyyRcFJzbcWY3YcVfuXJvSOtx1cVI95Sp2wnS3qrDcrDbk_jpVjBzzARKduYTkmzp_XGwo8gOgnzdn8EBTdWbJbuGrdcPSvbBF0TYOMjT71o6ZBtO579MteKv2RyLxhempeN59YwkA/s1600/cupcakes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMQnyyRcFJzbcWY3YcVfuXJvSOtx1cVI95Sp2wnS3qrDcrDbk_jpVjBzzARKduYTkmzp_XGwo8gOgnzdn8EBTdWbJbuGrdcPSvbBF0TYOMjT71o6ZBtO579MteKv2RyLxhempeN59YwkA/s320/cupcakes.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I couldn't help but post two pictures of the cupcakes, mainly because the first one was dark and you can't really see how bright these colors really are. The wrappers are made with the Life's A Party cartridge. I read up on these to figure out how to cut them. Lots of places you will find that you need to use the fit to length at 8 inches...I have a gypsy so I made them a width of 8 inches and arranged them to get the to get the most per 12x12 sheet of paper that I could (I was only able to fit four of these puppies on one sheet). I liked the decorations so much I saved the table cloths. Aside from liking them I also spent money on them so I try to save were I can for the next party. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSCY8yT7yVre4P39D_IoCMGOAXP7TsRQogP9DrnN5ptIMnhEN9Mh1_0Az4txlz5IOS9GXVY-WxpT3fqo54MoGyj7qCczlUOrqfvk8dWf6OYGYg4WgOHg__711NijKXFlxRWoFMlXZiomA/s1600/Diaper+Cake.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSCY8yT7yVre4P39D_IoCMGOAXP7TsRQogP9DrnN5ptIMnhEN9Mh1_0Az4txlz5IOS9GXVY-WxpT3fqo54MoGyj7qCczlUOrqfvk8dWf6OYGYg4WgOHg__711NijKXFlxRWoFMlXZiomA/s320/Diaper+Cake.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Diaper cakes...I made one a long time ago and love making them. They are an easy decoration that the mommy to be can not only use to decorate the babies room with but also use the diapers when it comes time. The Zebra on top is actually a toy to hook on the babies stroller or car seat. My little cousin helped me get this together while I was busy getting the food in the serving dishes and out on the tables (I told you, I'm last minute...lol). </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEV2-fIbbTa_RL-zZ6hs2Vi8bsTnPMsLDyrAS3ow6wJXz3HwKp0wfmXyq8gYoL_kf0DOqj1jY3nL_6pUpGFp8XhkrfM5K8fPgvpemZ7tvrY66oc1ShI2MU_OrJyj6Fp08eFSL5gualEL0/s1600/Entrance+dec.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEV2-fIbbTa_RL-zZ6hs2Vi8bsTnPMsLDyrAS3ow6wJXz3HwKp0wfmXyq8gYoL_kf0DOqj1jY3nL_6pUpGFp8XhkrfM5K8fPgvpemZ7tvrY66oc1ShI2MU_OrJyj6Fp08eFSL5gualEL0/s320/Entrance+dec.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Another helpful cousin decoration...she decided that the entrance needed to be indicated. I hosted the shower at a church and when you walk in the front door there are two directions that you could go...she wanted to make sure everyone came the correct direction (so sweet). </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyVfdFf5oXGGTYIF-cP58jtHG-aeJfP1oiwy3nc9BXgllqwEOTyY5oME2rrvzMxxLGWvi0koe7mtjf80bAqaEMCdeItxt8WBOn-P6_dYubkDf6gYIT_BPudPTQFpwgB2IuJb3F7tznfeU/s1600/food+table.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyVfdFf5oXGGTYIF-cP58jtHG-aeJfP1oiwy3nc9BXgllqwEOTyY5oME2rrvzMxxLGWvi0koe7mtjf80bAqaEMCdeItxt8WBOn-P6_dYubkDf6gYIT_BPudPTQFpwgB2IuJb3F7tznfeU/s320/food+table.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I'm particularly proud of the color coordination of this event. Everything was black and white (zebra print) or hot pink and green. again, super proud of myself for this event. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbhDp1zDNV-RN261LG2Z_2iwpF6ctI_KQL00TB3oEdYniZ_VvIa553TmWB_IggFQgVKO59ezTl3duqz1uP6wGjnZ1CUCq3NNYCGP7mLExHsmXHVr04dMKZRGqPjMX6lv-4QhIp6yZAEKc/s1600/gift+table.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbhDp1zDNV-RN261LG2Z_2iwpF6ctI_KQL00TB3oEdYniZ_VvIa553TmWB_IggFQgVKO59ezTl3duqz1uP6wGjnZ1CUCq3NNYCGP7mLExHsmXHVr04dMKZRGqPjMX6lv-4QhIp6yZAEKc/s320/gift+table.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The gift table. You can't see it but there's lots of stuff under the table (in the floor). I guess I forgot to take a picture but we decorated a chair for the mommy to sit in...super cute we made a bow for the top and had little streamers coming off the bottom.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikUT9_1pgK8-7mlDOViAyFQtWMVIzfWTd3lMM4XHJaWnrTWx8gZYLiTMyhMSA1d3vMMwuSUEFrLVHlnYfyzygv98WmEWJRB-IoO1rPOkNvQKqJIdsT7PeBJ2WW_MrrI0WPAxuF_H5IqyA/s1600/hats.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikUT9_1pgK8-7mlDOViAyFQtWMVIzfWTd3lMM4XHJaWnrTWx8gZYLiTMyhMSA1d3vMMwuSUEFrLVHlnYfyzygv98WmEWJRB-IoO1rPOkNvQKqJIdsT7PeBJ2WW_MrrI0WPAxuF_H5IqyA/s320/hats.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My little prego sister holding up two adorable hats. You know that cousin that I keep talking about that helped finish up some finally decorations.....well, she made these hats. My family is very creative. Well, at least I like to think we are. Aren't these hats adorable? </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC2FjH7Dhdum609WX2OqLyC2CD-feeWGotiHR1qsN3L-6ZSq5vqWr9ZctUV0f9wdw-wrjXvmNuHP3U-KhhP9MWY7gexRyZ49dyAQ3yahZNVfj4zkJRA-NXDI8OoCr_whzNH4dsB9kRCGg/s1600/Lily+sign.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232px" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC2FjH7Dhdum609WX2OqLyC2CD-feeWGotiHR1qsN3L-6ZSq5vqWr9ZctUV0f9wdw-wrjXvmNuHP3U-KhhP9MWY7gexRyZ49dyAQ3yahZNVfj4zkJRA-NXDI8OoCr_whzNH4dsB9kRCGg/s320/Lily+sign.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">One final decoration to talk about....the sign...not a great picture but it says LILYANA (the babies name). I used Hannah Montana rock star font. I love this font...my sister and I both love stars so I thought this would be cute, and she took it home to put in her room. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks for stopping by and checking out my sister's shower story. Hope to post something a little earlier next time. </div><br />

The boards are an amazing place to meet amazing people who love their cricut and anything crafty. I was in a swap recently called mini mini mini paint can swap. Each person was paired up with a partner. The partners were to decorate a paint can and fill it with goodies for their partner. I've had this gal as a partner in two different swaps this one I knew she was my partner the other swap she was a secret. I didn't know she was designing for me. <br />
<br />
Here's the one that I made...no comparison to what she made me. I love the colors and the design I just think she out did me. I had to lift the pictures she posted on message board of my can to her...in my rush to get it mailed out to her I forgot to take pics. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbmE6FxTC2ux2IKy0olJweGfQwwm02tQTZT2U01G836iEfhOP_1fcf9NJykr86frWIlB5PdK2UTl4wzYnRTYIzfqIfxNapjcUMjakZkBAyCg3OLcu-B-XL0mKOkcjVhssvFFhD5DWByts/s1600/mini+I+made.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbmE6FxTC2ux2IKy0olJweGfQwwm02tQTZT2U01G836iEfhOP_1fcf9NJykr86frWIlB5PdK2UTl4wzYnRTYIzfqIfxNapjcUMjakZkBAyCg3OLcu-B-XL0mKOkcjVhssvFFhD5DWByts/s320/mini+I+made.jpg" width="240px" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjanycUaTDEQ7gafPi6WuetpmURYee_MWPxeJQSOmRDo7VIh14D0dgOhmUv_kiwTsXezfzbfKbrWYOYV2RXYqKgsTEV4tRywbx9OOs_EDONC5m9IXRVU7leJlyICOGcOcHDs-ff0M2RFws/s1600/mini+back+I+made.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjanycUaTDEQ7gafPi6WuetpmURYee_MWPxeJQSOmRDo7VIh14D0dgOhmUv_kiwTsXezfzbfKbrWYOYV2RXYqKgsTEV4tRywbx9OOs_EDONC5m9IXRVU7leJlyICOGcOcHDs-ff0M2RFws/s320/mini+back+I+made.jpg" width="240px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Now here's the one she made for me, this beautiful can was designed by Heart2hand (her message board name). She is so creative. She had made the stick pin and the flower you can see near the right side of this picture and the little black flower near the bottom left hand corner. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrhfgenbkgKuEhE0eqwt0uMy9-offtQqkxYF0w_4y6pRn-W3kIhZhfM9g2W8Lg3jyvMzWe-BmPODmPpHukY-SMg1eeZeoyYRGl9yi9GCjS-9-ejFJ1Myik-W8dHdPhX1GerIj9hRJlE10/s1600/mini+can.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrhfgenbkgKuEhE0eqwt0uMy9-offtQqkxYF0w_4y6pRn-W3kIhZhfM9g2W8Lg3jyvMzWe-BmPODmPpHukY-SMg1eeZeoyYRGl9yi9GCjS-9-ejFJ1Myik-W8dHdPhX1GerIj9hRJlE10/s320/mini+can.jpg" width="291px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I never really realized how much I love red. I knew I liked it and it was the color of my "girls" dresses in my wedding but she makes me love it. </div><br />

I started college straight out of high school but after four years complete (five year degree was supposed to be the plan) I had to put my education on hold...life happened. I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Science and Math....I was/am good with anything that has to do with numbers. A marriage and two children later I decided to go back to school but I had to change my major. Business, the next best thing I guess....I wouldn't be working with kids but I could certainly work with numbers. By completely changing my major I added an extra year and a half to my already completed four years. It took a time span of ten years (from start to finish....my first four years my break of four and a half years and then my final year and a half of school)...I'm proud. It took a long time but I never gave up on that part of my educational goal. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiaDAU5KUij-6yEm9MLGEgfaQDeZu7qeD3JJCF2tT1VKV0Ips2Wsi7GUUwrQggetVlvYDVLF5LApvyoLK4QPIU3PqLT0sfnr3DyEodWmMclRIGBTvGYNNMcA7Ev51WsbG1F62929uhwkY/s1600/Picture+472.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiaDAU5KUij-6yEm9MLGEgfaQDeZu7qeD3JJCF2tT1VKV0Ips2Wsi7GUUwrQggetVlvYDVLF5LApvyoLK4QPIU3PqLT0sfnr3DyEodWmMclRIGBTvGYNNMcA7Ev51WsbG1F62929uhwkY/s320/Picture+472.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">They had bag pipes play us into the arena. When one thinks of bag pipes they don't really think..."oh how pretty" but it was...it sounded amazing. With the back drop meaning every work....YOU DID IT....yes, we finally did. This school was full of the non-traditional student. By that I meant we were no longer in our early twenties, most of us had a family and a full-time job to juggle with the stress of papers and finals....and we did it, despite the odds. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBYUsX8MUuaLoriAKpZdTQqUUVgDg9xu34_LTsef0QFwTMr_qb6hFyw73dlQdR6x1gMi8u_ng6SG3FhttEFqouBT3Vu75TXxKon8HZUeOcEweq8yTUWPhckqVhYURuIhamW_RB0Itg16I/s1600/Picture+475.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBYUsX8MUuaLoriAKpZdTQqUUVgDg9xu34_LTsef0QFwTMr_qb6hFyw73dlQdR6x1gMi8u_ng6SG3FhttEFqouBT3Vu75TXxKon8HZUeOcEweq8yTUWPhckqVhYURuIhamW_RB0Itg16I/s320/Picture+475.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I was trying to find my family up in the balcony area but these bright lights kept me from doing so. Little did I know I was looking right at them. In this picture I'm multitasking...I'm trying to shield my eyes from the light to find my family and hold my cap on. My "poofy" hair didn't want to let it stay on. At one point it did eventually fall off...ssssoooo glad it wasn't when I was walking across the stage. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHA5F09f_mzySnlvSt4-1Ya46pVra4_lvznqhMil_mjb-R_lyi8pSTi0-3phmrXK_cNY5ZBvuglc9lzNR0KxfVWw2DwKoBQbNW6_ZD4KIaBecNi4yfx7AAK0j6TVXAJSwaBmNlCo5e6HE/s1600/Picture+482.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHA5F09f_mzySnlvSt4-1Ya46pVra4_lvznqhMil_mjb-R_lyi8pSTi0-3phmrXK_cNY5ZBvuglc9lzNR0KxfVWw2DwKoBQbNW6_ZD4KIaBecNi4yfx7AAK0j6TVXAJSwaBmNlCo5e6HE/s320/Picture+482.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I'm not in this picture...the hand(blur) in the bottom right hand corner is blocking where I would have been. I wanted to share this because I'm proud of all the people that graduated that day....even though I knew none of them...they deserved it, I know they worked just as hard as I did. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxuPFu3LsQ4VTH1lMk_WZYaxajVfy4_WBA4BJPjZXpm5dcJhSKL_cpFgrc-xFKCzGkptbhON_EEYfs8OM7NH7LVrxUEC11pQDNNDt1cPTXjYOD7if5GZD5ThZix1r6Gsmi7S62TyqU7jk/s1600/Picture+464.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxuPFu3LsQ4VTH1lMk_WZYaxajVfy4_WBA4BJPjZXpm5dcJhSKL_cpFgrc-xFKCzGkptbhON_EEYfs8OM7NH7LVrxUEC11pQDNNDt1cPTXjYOD7if5GZD5ThZix1r6Gsmi7S62TyqU7jk/s320/Picture+464.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My mother-in-law was my photographer for the day...she captured this photo...I'm not sure what it is and I don't recall seeing it while I was there but I though it looked neat so I wanted to share. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-v_rarHz7gS52nuGE1TsL_lPpwRypE6qSBF4YG0Nm4pOV3e5I367fQ2aQjq8gT8KpJd9ukurDjcf-Z16Ws9mLEhwdB8xi4vP0nYmjf6re6ZzaWFSeQE-T_kzt1K7w5DnWBrm0JO1IVKA/s1600/Picture+466.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212px" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-v_rarHz7gS52nuGE1TsL_lPpwRypE6qSBF4YG0Nm4pOV3e5I367fQ2aQjq8gT8KpJd9ukurDjcf-Z16Ws9mLEhwdB8xi4vP0nYmjf6re6ZzaWFSeQE-T_kzt1K7w5DnWBrm0JO1IVKA/s320/Picture+466.jpg" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The stage...before we entered...trees in on the screen behind the chair. Trying to figure out what trees symbolize for the creator of this back drop. What are they supposed to mean to all the graduates that will be sitting in their seats waiting to cross this stage to receive their "diploma" (piece of paper telling you if you completed all your requirements and submitting the diploma application you would receive it in 6-8 weeks). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Well...no creations today but I'll be back with more soon...I'm think scrapbook page for graduation...what do you think?</div><div style="text-align: left;"></div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430623587761594893.post-16766852150794551272011-04-30T00:15:00.000-04:002011-04-30T00:15:19.934-04:00Crusin' and loving the tropical destinations!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I've been going thru old photos trying to figure out how I would like to scrap them and I came across some photos from our 2nd Disney cruise. My husband and I took our first cruise in 2004 for our honeymoon and from that point fwd. we fell in love with crusin'. We wanted to share that joy with our son and any future children we had. Our son got to go on his very first cruise when he was just five years old and he loved every minute of it. I decide to make the layout simple so the pictures are the focal point. I used an oldie but goodie, it's a classic.. George and Basic Shapes. I got the inspiration from a layout I seen a long time ago, I just can't recall where I had seen it. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi47DEV1aknBcmFdaOAUzcRERnhluXcKRtoOpX5thgn4FYTW3mQhC6F-WfcRlIPsjGKMtVw-axUKx5egoyn-KUQ-xXDSxx-1Mxtp9aBLGv9sJqbuT0PG3CyEc4Co7zihkO86UEsfLRntUM/s1600/Making+Waves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi47DEV1aknBcmFdaOAUzcRERnhluXcKRtoOpX5thgn4FYTW3mQhC6F-WfcRlIPsjGKMtVw-axUKx5egoyn-KUQ-xXDSxx-1Mxtp9aBLGv9sJqbuT0PG3CyEc4Co7zihkO86UEsfLRntUM/s320/Making+Waves.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I do apologize for the picture quality, I couldn't get my camera to work so I used my phone. Typically it takes pretty good photos but it is making a liar out of me tonight. In these particular photos we were on Disney's Island called Castaway Cay and a few from the ships pool. The ship on the right hand page is a mock up of Pirates of the Caribbean and made the best photo spot. I'm big on double layouts and being able to include as many pictures as possible. I'm a picture fool. I love taking them, editing them and creating lasting memories. Most of the time I'm not in them due to always being on the "taking" end. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf-d92kwj2ijzHC69GWLVONT37xyAnqXw6cJwSIo_ifCAi8m09JLVyDPyFjw780qCtzK95nYuCSTVBlnxD3hlquUMKxFUuEi2VGiNRGUbaZvu1UO9U1XozU66KPT2Aa1MDVdXnuK1Vd94/s1600/Making+Waves+P1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" j8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf-d92kwj2ijzHC69GWLVONT37xyAnqXw6cJwSIo_ifCAi8m09JLVyDPyFjw780qCtzK95nYuCSTVBlnxD3hlquUMKxFUuEi2VGiNRGUbaZvu1UO9U1XozU66KPT2Aa1MDVdXnuK1Vd94/s320/Making+Waves+P1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My son, he does so well in front of the camera or he did so well in front of the camera when he was younger. Now he is "too cool" to pose for mom and he never smiles when I want him to anymore. I don't recall what brand of paper I used as most of it is in stacks without the original packaging. I just love the bright blue and green togther and the patterned page makes the picture of my son pop. </div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">Here's my family....the little dark haired boy is my life (my son) the tall guy next to him is my best friend (my husband). The blondie boy is my nephew, standing next to him is my sister and to the left of her my brother. I travel with my family....I love it, family is so important to me. I left the blue spot open for journaling...I have to dig thru the dust in my head to think back to that day. My advice....do not procrastinate in scrapbooking your memories. I have and I have trouble remembering sounds, sights, smells....you know all the stuff you want to remember and jot down in the journal box. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">Well I do hope you enjoyed my cute but simple layout today. I will try to be back soon to post more. </div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04473039508546037469noreply@blogger.com0
